Loretto, PA — With last seasons entrance into the LHAC, the Tigers were faced with something that is kinda unheard of in the world of sports. Unless you were the “winner” of one of the two sub conferences in the LHAC, you didn’t get to Score for the Championships. That meant, our boys, who happened to loose to Central due to a field trip that took 1/2 the team and 4 of the highest scoring boys on the team, were NOT eligible for the Overall Title. When the dust, and Randy Wilson finally settled, the boys outscored the the 2 teams that were scoring for the title by over 100 points each! The Girls who were able to compete for the League Championships, lost to Bedford 76-74, which is 1 point total. The 3 way tie for 2nd in High Jump proved the decision maker for sure. Although the girls went undefeated during the regular season, these Championship meets reward depth, and will be scored differently than last season where it was only a dual meet scoring of 5-3-1 compared to this years 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
