Fallbrook, CA — On Wednesday, May 7th, the Lancer Varsity boys golf team teed it up in the final round of the North Coastal League Championship, played at the Pala Mesa Golf Resort in Fallbrook. The Lancers were attempting to win this League title for the second year in a row. Heading into the day, the Lancers had some ground to make up, but weren't quite able to get it done. Torrey Pines HS finished 1st with a team score of 712, followed by La Costa Canyon HS at 719, and our Lancers just 1 stroke behind at 720 (even par combined as a team for the 36 hole tournament). On the individual side, sophomore Kaden Chang won the Individual title with a score of 11 under par for the two days. Kaden tied with Reed Arnaldo of LCC, but won on the first hole of a sudden death playoff with a hole out from the bunker for an eagle! The Lancers take a week off, then the CIF San Diego Section tournament begins on May 20.
