Students will miss a good portion of the school day, so please plan accordingly especially if you will be missing any tests or quizzes. It is the responsibility of the student to communicate with their teachers and schedule a make up date. Parents, if you are able to attend, we will send information like the link to live results and where we set up team camp in the WhatsApp group chat. Please give your runner the space they need to focus on their race and be sure to cheer loud and proud when they're out on the course!
Our second league meet will feature the same league rivals as the first but this time scoring will be done a bit differently. In a traditional meet, your top five finishers will contribute a score based off their finish in the race (ex: fifth place equals five points). This second league meet will be scored in the ancient ways of a dual meet format meaning that our team will be scored individually against each team in the league. To determine a winner, each team's scorer (first through fifth finishers) will be pitted against another team's respective scorer. If our team's first finisher beats another team's first finisher, then we earn one point. Subsequent match ups will be done up until a team wins three out of the top five matchups between the top five scorers. This will be done between each varsity team in the Del Rey League and then our team finish for the meet will be determined by how many of our league rivals we beat.
