Recap
Day 2 Wrap!
Sparks, NV — This weekend, the Tigers took the mat at the Sparks Tournament inside the Brickhouse, and both squads showed why the work is starting to matter.
The Girls team finished 2nd overall, with an outstanding performance across the board. Millie, Isabelle, and River each climbed to the top of the podium, powering through their brackets with strong wins all the way to the finals. Confident wrestling, smart positions, and a lot of grit are exactly what you want to see as the season turns the corner.
On the boys’ side, Jessie Reiner and Vincent Cereghino battled their way into the championship matches. Both finished 2nd, showing toughness and consistency against quality competition. As a team, the Douglas boys placed 6th, gaining valuable mat time and valuable lessons as we move into the downhill stretch of the season—where details, conditioning, and belief start to separate teams.
Wrestler of the Week: Jessie Reiner
Jessie continues to set the tone. This weekend, he wrestled with purpose, poise, and a nonstop motor working through tough positions and staying composed under pressure. Making a championship run in a competitive bracket isn’t easy, and Jessie earned every second of it. His effort and consistency made him stand out in a weekend full of strong performances.
Congrats, Jessie. Keep pushing.
