Yuba City, CA — The Boys Varsity Wrestling Team put together an outstanding performance in one of the toughest tournament environments, competing in a stacked 32-man bracket against 32 teams at Battle of The Buttes. The road was anything but easy, with several wrestlers battling through as many as six demanding matches, yet the team showed resilience, grit, and determination from start to finish. Leading the way was team captain Kavon Lloyd as tournament champion at 144 lbs, setting the tone with a dominant run. The team also earned a strong 2nd-place finish with freshman Andrew William at 106 lbs, along with 4th-place finishes at 113 (Amick) 120 (Basco) 132 (Pimentel), and 138 (Rodriguez), proving depth and consistency across multiple weight classes. Through a long day, tough opponents, and relentless competition, the team found a way to win.
