San Ysidro, CA — ECI proved to be a tougher test than anticipated. Still, we walked away with a lot of great wins, and even some hardware. Kevin Sanchez, Matthew Kendall, and Carlos Hernandez all qualified to the 2nd day of competition, although Carlos was unable to compete day 2 due to an injury. Kevin and Matthew both wrestled great. Matthew would come up short in the medal round, and Kevin cracked the top 8! Kevin would finish the tournament in 8th place, and was the only wrestler from San Diego county to medal in that weight class. Great job to all our wrestlers who participated. On to the next one!
