Cal Middle School Skiers getting ready to inspect the courses at Cannonsburg on Tuesday
Belmont, MI — The Caledonia Middle School Boys and Girls teams both won their side of the meet at Cannonsburg on Tuesday. The format for this race was two course and each racer combined the best run from each course for their total time and placement.
The girls had impressive runs in both course to help Caledonia score an impressive 11 pts. Ten points is a perfect score, so our girls really had a great race. The scoring skiers were Elsie Decker (1st), Taya Clement (2nd), Lexi Lakatos (3rd) and Reagan Slattery (5th). Fifth grader Peyton Ballie finished 14th to round of the Cal Girls Team. Great Job!
The boys team scored 12 points, which is also a pretty impressive score for any Ski meet. The skiers that scored for the Scots were Drew Potgeter (1st), Dan Calhoun (3rd), Graeme Wolverton (4th) and Miles Barnwell (5th). Potgeter posted the fastest time for the meeting at 52.05 seconds. Also skiing at the meet were Tanner LaVene (11th), Jack Stawski (21st) and Mawell Nordlund (24th).
