Belmont, MI — The final race of the season was Friday at Cannonsburg. The middle school Scots girls won their side of the meet and the boys took second. The championship trophy was won by Grand Rapids Christian who slipped by Caledonia by 1 PT to win the series of races this season.
"It was an exciting race to watch. Our skiers really were fast, maybe too fast for the second course which had rough conditions and it wiped out a few of them. We are really proud of our team, they worked hard all winter and were ready to know down some great times." Coach Petrosky "On the girls side, Elsie won most of the races with around a 5 second margin and she is our only eighth grader. Our younger skiers range from 5th grade to 7th grade really skied well and we are excited to see how fast they will be by the time they are seniors."

"Boys had a tough night, a bunch of our guys went a little too had on the second course. We love the aggressive skiing but there are sometimes conditions that require a more cautious approach. We had some outstanding runs, too, but ended up taking second tonight." We have nice group of younger skiers that are really getting fast. Our 6th and 7th graders are going to do great things for the ski team in the future."
