Mustangs in Good Position After Round 1 of the KLAA Tournament
KLAA Pre-Season Tournament
Brighton, MI — Northville delivered a solid performance in the opening round of the KLAA Conference Tournament at Kensington Metropark, finishing the day in 4th place out of 16 teams. With a collective team score of 309, the Mustangs remain in the hunt, only trailing Hartland by 5 strokes.

The Mustangs' score was anchored by consistent play across the lineup, with the top four scorers finishing within five strokes of each other.
Steadiness Out Front
Jordan Sziracki led the Mustangs with an elite performance from his opening hole. He started his first 10 holes 2-under par, after following an eagle on the par-5 5th and a string of pars.
Rewarding Mental Toughness
After a string of bad breaks in the overgrowth, Rex Chenoweth battled back to card another sub-80 round. His 78 (+7) was the second straight tournament he ended with back-to-back birdies.
The unfairness of golf was present for Trevor Royston as good swings did not always produce good results early. Trevor's resilience paid off as he finished his last 10 holes with 3 birdies on his way to a 80 (+9).
Front Nine Strength
Benjamin Zaremba’s 35 was one of the strongest front-nine scores in the field. This was Ben's first under-par side in his career and one of his top performances. Featuring 4 birdies on the day, Ben's 76 (+5) was a huge breakthrough for the Mustang senior.
