Ann Arbor — Women’s Recap
The Saline women’s team delivered another dominant performance, defeating Ann Arbor Skyline 95–42 with strength across every event group.
Sprints set the tone early.
Saline swept the top three spots in the 100m, led by Charlotte Warren (12.94), followed by Addisen Freeburn and Janaye Sifuna.
Freeburn came back to win the 200m (26.83 PB), with Warren finishing 2nd and Mahalia “Mimi” Staton adding a 4th place finish.
Mid-distance and distance controlled the meet.
Katarina Munson led the way with a win in the 800m (2:19.82), followed by Sophie Roth in 2nd and Ruby Giddings adding a personal best.
Saline went 1-2 in the 1600m with Lilli Schlack and Savannah Staton, while a deep pack behind them added key points.
The 4x800 relay team secured another win (9:27.78), continuing their consistency.
Field events were a major advantage.
Mahalia Staton won the long jump (17'0.25"), while Sydney Steben and Eden Kresnak added depth.
Megan Sweet and Jenna Sweet went 1-2 in the high jump.
Madison Wuellner and Melissa Leventhal shared the win in pole vault.
The throws group dominated, sweeping the top three in shot put behind Nova Platzer, and taking the top three in discus led by Isabelle Belaire (PB).
Hurdles and relays added key points, highlighted by a win in the 4x100 relay (51.56).
Overall, the women showed excellent depth and balance, with personal bests spread throughout the lineup.
Men’s Recap
The Saline men’s team followed with a commanding 92–45 win over Skyline, fueled by dominance in the sprints, distance events, and relays.
Sprint group showed depth despite tough conditions.
Running into strong headwinds, Saline still placed six in the top eight of the 100m, led by Jack Walden (2nd) and Chanon Palmer (3rd).
In the 200m, Mason Kangas took 2nd, while multiple athletes recorded personal bests across the field.
400m and hurdles were standout events.
Chanon Palmer won the 400m with a big personal best (49.85), followed closely by Cruz Hanson in 2nd.
Palmer also won the 110m hurdles, while the 300m hurdles saw a breakout performance from Dezmond MacDonald, who took 1st (44.33 PB) with multiple freshmen scoring behind him.
Distance group controlled the distance events.
Wes Rogan won the 800m (1:58.66 PB).
Saline went 1-2 in the 1600m with Jacob Szalay (4:24.04 PB) and Brennan Larusso, followed by a strong pack of scorers.
The 3200m group added depth with multiple top finishes.
Relays were dominant across the board.
4x100 (44.91), 4x200 (1:30.49), and 4x400 (3:34.89) all captured first place.
The 4x800 added a 2nd place finish, with additional relay teams contributing points.
Field events added critical scoring.
Alexander Stockton cleared 6'4" PB to win the high jump.
Lennon Cohoon won the long jump, with multiple athletes placing behind him.
Kameron Lewis led a strong showing in discus with a win (106'11"), while the shot put group added multiple top finishes.
Overall Takeaway
This was another complete team performance. With dominance in relays, depth across all events, and continued personal bests, Saline continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
