Petoskey, MI — It was a great day of racing for our team. I was very happy with our finishes and how hard our kids competed. Colton Mulder earned all-conference honors, a great accomplishment that we’re very proud of. Our top five boys were Colton Mulder (16:48), Brodie Haslett (18:06), Beckett Swanson (18:18), Masyn Wing (18:21), and Logan Mahan (18:25). Ella McInerney and Chloe Mazza earned first-team all-conference honors, finishing second and fifth, respectively. Both have put in a tremendous amount of work throughout the summer and season, and those honors were well deserved. Chloe finished 18th at this meet a year ago, so her fifth-place finish today reflects her tremendous improvement and determination. Ella has also made impressive progress and has been incredibly consistent, always putting our team in a position to succeed. Our top girls finishers were Ella McInerney (19:02), Chloe Mazza (19:50), Lily Sparks (21:51), and Jean Holland (21:56). We’re proud of the effort our entire team showed and excited to see how much we can improve next week at regionals.
