Fullerton, CA — Boys and Girls Cross Country had a fantastic day of racing at the Freeway League Finals with 2 Individual Champions and 2 Team Champions! Girls JV was the first race of the day to start off League Finals. The girls placed 3rd for the day and was led by Abby Hahm. Abby Hahm and Carissa Paredes were named All-League Girls JV by placing 5th and 7th, respectively, in their race. Overall, Girls JV finished 3rd place, behind Troy (1st) and Buena Park (2nd). Boys Frosh/Soph was led by Nathaniel Valenzuela to a 2nd place finish against Troy. Nathaniel was named All-League Frosh/Soph by winning his race. Boys JV was led by Noah Flores to a 1st place Team Championship. Noah Flores (1st), Noah Rovira (2nd), Justin Kim (5th), and Ryan Kim (6th) were named All-League Boys JV. Boys JV beat Troy by 1 point overall. Girls Varsity was led by Esther Fee to a 1st place Team Championship. Esther Fee, Stephanie Gonzalez, and Peyton Rushing were named All-League Girls Varsity by placing 2nd, 5th, and 7th, respectively, in their race. Boys Varsity finished off League Finals with an amazing race. The boys won their race for the day and was led by Zachary Gomez, who had a strong finish. Zachary Gomez and Emiliano Zavala were named All-League Boys Varsity placing 2nd and 6th, respectively, in their race. Overall, Boys Varsity finished 2nd behind Troy by 2 points. Both Girls and Boys Varsity Teams qualified for CIF Prelims on November 16 at the Riverside City XC Course!
