West Sacramento, CA — Greetings Timberwolves fans friends and families- What a busy and amazing first week, starting with the beginning of a traditional (ish) type school year and amazing Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction. First I want to thank all o you that came out and supported our program and our kids we had an amazing fundraising season that our kids will benefit immensely from your support. Now to the games, our frosh traveled out of the thick smoke down to Stockton to open with Stagg High School. Down 12-0 at the half the frosh staged an amazing comeback scoring 20 points in the 2nd half to take the lead late and earn many athletes their first high school (and football) win. The JV and Varsity handled River City on Friday night giving up a total of 3 points between the two games and scoring 73. We need to give a big congratulations and two clap to Coach Dee Bowers and Malcolm Thomas on their first wins as Head Coaches. Coach Bowers and Coach Thomas have both been deeply rooted in WHS football and we cannot state how proud we are of them and their staff! The Air Quality looks to improve this week (we were unsure of games last week) as we get ready for our home opener against the new school to our west. Frosh will kick off at 530 on Thursday, JV Kickoff is at 5 on Friday with the Marquee match up at 715 between the varsity squads. We will have quite the set up for the first home game of the year and we hope to see you there. Thanks for reading and as always GO CREEK! Coach Hunkins
