Moreno Valley, CA — Five hits from Kaya helped lead the way for a Hemet Bulldog victory over Vista Del Lago 23-3 on Wednesday. Kaya singled in the first, doubled in the second, homered in the second, homered in the fourth, and homered in the fifth. The bulldogs got things started early in the first inning when Kaya drove in two runs with her single. The Bulldogs tallied ten runs in the second inning. Hemet's big bats in the inning were led by doubles by Kaya Ciccone-Cozart, ABby Laskowski, and Angela Whitmer, singles by Micayla Johnson-Byrd and Rebecca Sanchez, a triple by Chloe Young and a home run by Kaya Ciccone-Cozart. Whitmer got the start in the circle for the bulldogs. The bulldog went 5 innings allowing three runs and striking out three. The Bulldogs scattered 18 hits in the game Kaya, Chloe Young, Micayla, and Rebecca all had multiple hits for Hemet. Kaya Ciccone-Cozart went 5 for 5 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs in hits.
