Moreno Valley, CA — Hemet's Pitchers Kassidy Long and Payton Priefer didn't allow a single hit as the Bulldogs defeated Canyon Springs 12-0, on Thursday Payton Priefer induced a fly out to get the last out of the game. Kaya Ciccone-Cozart led the Bulldogs to victory by driving in five runs. Kaya went 3 for 3 at the plate. SHe drove in runs on a triple in the first, a single in the second and a single in the third. In the first inning Hemet got their offense started when CHloe Payne singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. The rally was led by a single by Kaya Ciccone-Cozart, Rebecca Sanchez and by Payne reaching base on an error. Kassidy Long led the Bulldogs to a victory in the circle. The firebller went three innings, allowing zero runs, zerror hits, striking out five and walking zero. Priefer thre two inning s in relief out of the bullpen. Priefer recored the last six outs to seal the victory for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs saw the ball very well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Kaya, Kassidy and Payne all collected multiple hits for Hemet. Kaya went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Bulldogs in hits. The Bulldogs were also sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
