Tustin, CA — Irvine Summary The Patriots’ challenges continued this week versus the Vaqueros. The freshman team lost a very hard-fought affair by a narrow 22-18 margin. The offense featured a potent rushing attack and the defense held the Vaquers to about half of their season-average scoring. Unfortunately it was not enough. The varsity team also struggled against the undefeated Vaqueros. The defense was led by some big plays by Matthew Keyser on the defensive line and steady tackling of Justin Sevilla, the defensive player of the game. On offense, Aiden Fordyce had a season-high 5 receptions, and Andres Pineda had a great game taking over at the left tackle position. Next Week, the Patriots will play their homecoming game versus the Dana Hills Dolphins.
