Hemet, CA — The Bulldogs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-5 loss to Oxnard on Thursday. Oxnard scored on a fielder's choice by Reylene Reyes in the first inning, a home run by Elisa Lopez in the second inning, and a single by Olivia Bryant in the second inning. In the first inning, Oxnard got their offense started. Reyes hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run. Hemet scored three runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by home runs by Angela Witmer and Kassidy Long. Oxnard scored four runs in the fourth inning. Kaleena Gonzales, Bryane Magana, and Jessalyn Villicana each had RBIs in the big inning. Witmer took the loss for the Bulldogs.
