Matthews, NC — Corvian Community took a tough loss at the hands of Covenant Day on Tuesday, 85-72. Despite the loss, there were a few bright spots for the Cardinals. Freshman Arael Jones led the scoring charge, scoring 25 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds with an efficiency rating of 18, and game score of 13.6. Senior RJ Seymour shot the ball well, knocking down 4 of 8 shots from downtown on his way to 23 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, a block and 2 steals. He also only had 1 turnover in his team high 31:04.4 on the court, as well as leading in efficiency rating (22) and game score (17). Senior forward Jelani Freeman also chipped in with 10 points of his own, to go along with 2 rebounds and 3 steals. Corvian Community will look to play an away conference game Friday, this time against Queen's Grant.
