Game MVP

Matthews, NC — Corvian Community kicked off their conference season with a 73-66 win at Queen's Grant. The Cardinals were led by Sam Harris who had a monster double double! He went for 17 points and 12 rebounds while leading in efficiency rating (17) and game score (12). Arael Jones had another great all-around night, scoring 16 points, 4 assists, 7 rebounds and a block. Jelani Freeman also provided some much needed help on the glass, as he scored 12 points, 8 rebounds, with an assist and 2 steals. He also lead the team with a plus/minus of plus 10. Preston Brawley also chipped in with 9 points, 2 rebounds and a block in just 9:39.2 on the court. The Cardinals will look to play another away game next week, against Charlotte Country Day.
