Anaheim, CA — The Hawks scored 3 runs in the top of the first off the Esperanza ace. Caleb Zubas led off with a bunt single and stole second and third. With two outs Michael Jeanblanc singled to left to drive in the first run. Nick Woznichak doubled to left center. Nate Yount followed up with an single. The Aztecs came back to score one in the first and one in the second. Michael Lackman gave. The Hawks four solid innings on the mound earning the win. In the top of the fifth Camaren Sweet led off with a double to right center. Sweet later stole third and scored on a pick off attempt at third to give the Hawks a 4-2 lead. Tanner Chavez came in in relief to close it out pitching three scoreless innings. The win gives the Hawks a 3-3 record in league and 6-11 overall.
