Norton Shores, MI — Freshman boys win their second game of 2022 beating Grand Rapids Union 52-28. After a lopsided first quarter (15-0), the Sailors maintained a comfortable lead throughout all 4 quarters as Union tried to fight back. Jaeger Johnson led the way on the offensive end scoring 13 points which included 3 3pt baskets. Ezra Carefelle was another standout offensively scoring 9 points and added a handful of assists. This was a great team defensive game as the boys had over 10 steals and forced 6 more turnovers.

Ezra played a great game on both ends of the floor. He scored 9 points and had 4 assists to go along with 2 steals on the defensive end. What was most impressive was the energy he brought to the floor. The team fed off of the energy he brought to the floor.

Jaeger Johnson

Jaeger came out hot scoring 7 of his 13 points in the first quarter. He set the pace for the game on the offensive end and was able to contribute defensively as well. He made it hard for the opposing teams guards by playing great on ball defense.
