Fairfield, CA — The Vanden Boys Varsity Volleyball Team played against the Bear River High School for the second time in three weeks and cruised to a victory in three straight sets on the return of the Middle blocker Edwin Daugherty who did not play against Bear River during the first match. Co- Captain Noah Yi who also played sparingly as an outside hitter during the first match also helped the team with his usual terrific passing and hitting game. The team is currently on a seven game win streak.

Noah Yi

Outside hitter, Noah Yi, the heart and soul of the team, who has possessed a tremendous all around skills. This year, he has been the team’s most consistent and dominant hitter making incredibly only 4 hitting errors during the season. Amazingly, he is more known for his passing skill. He helped the first time starter as a setter, Nathan Manding, with multiple perfect passes that enable the team to have a terrific attack. Credit also to Nathan who was able to deliver good sets from those passes.
