The Spartans tallied five runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Matt Martin and DiCaprio, a walk by Timothy Venditti, a ground out by Kyle DeCresce, and a double by John Wells. Owen Goodridge was credited with the victory for Christian Brothers Academy. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero. Ben Yerina took the loss for Burnt Hills. The righty went two innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out one. A.J. Hicks started the game for Christian Brothers Academy. The bulldog went two innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out four. Burnt Hills collected six hits. DiCaprio and Martin each managed two hits to lead the Spartans. Christian Brothers Academy totaled 15 hits. Michael O’Shaughnessy, Ryan Bilka, Ben Huckans, and Will Baumann all had multiple hits for Christian Brothers Academy.
