Averill Park, NY — The Spartans struggled to get their offense going on Friday, getting losing to Averill Park, 9-2. Averill Park fired up the offense in the first inning, when Bailey singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Averill Park pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Thompson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Kilgallon grounded out, scoring one run, and Bailey grounded out, scoring one run. Averill Park scored four runs in the sixth inning, led by Matthews, S Ratigan, Thompson, and Kilgallon, all driving in runs in the frame. C Ratigan was on the mound for Averill Park.
