South Pasadena, CA — The South Pasadena Junior Varsity Tigers lost a close game on Tuesday in Monrovia by a score of 5-4. After falling behind, the Tigers chipped away at the lead but ultimately couldn't pull ahead. The Tigers were solid at the plate, scoring four runs, with Charlie Vogel accounting for two of their hits. The Wildcats scored four in the first inning, but could only manage one more run over the next five innings as they were stymied by Owen Woodworth's strong pitching and excellent fielding by all three outfielders: Griffin Johnson, Jude Felix, and Gabe Vogel. Leo Castillo closed out the game with a scoreless inning. The Tigers will face another league opponent in La CaƱada on Tuesday, March 22.
