In the top of the second inning, Hoover tied things up at one when an error scored one run for Hoover. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Devin Robinson tripled on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers tallied five runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Luke Riffle and Julian Fernandez and a walk by Lucien St. Vaughn. Alex Hodis pitched South Pasadena Varsity Tigers to victory. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four. Carlo Maling and Ben Petrillo entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
