South Pasadena, CA — South Pasadena Varsity Tigers took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over San Marino High School. The game wwas tied at seven with South Pasadena Varsity Tigers batting in the bottom of the ninth when Jason Yipp singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. The base paths were crowed in the high-scoring game. South Pasadena Varisty Tigers collected 11 hits and San Marino had nine. Jack Holly started the game for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers. The righthander surrendered six runs on with hits over two and 2/3 innings, striking out six. Carlo Maling came in relief throwing three innings, striking out four batters and not allowing any further runs from San Marino. Luke Riffle was the winning pitcher for South Pasadena throwing three innings. The left hander allowed one hit and one run, striking out one with no walks.
