Stratford, CT — Stratford High bounced back from Tuesday’s Brookfield loss by beating Bridgeport Central by the score of 24-1. Two Stratford pitchers combined on throwing a 1-hitter with starter Junior Ben Petrie going the first 3 innings and Junior Dylan McCain working the last 2 innings in a run-rule shortened contest. Stratford banged out 18 hits, played errorless ball out on the field, and upped its record to 2-1 overall. The highlights of the day came in the form of Sophomore Ty Owen, Sophomore Damon Weller, and Junior Conor Lesczczynski recording their first Varsity basehits. Four of Stratford starters – Senior J.J. Romatzick, Junior Ben Petrie, Senior Aidan Ormsbee, and Junior Joe Booska – all ended up with multi-hit games.
