Southbury, CT — Stratford’s slump continued on Saturday with a 7-4 non-league loss to Pomperaug which concluded the week filled with 3 losses. Pomperaug came out swinging, banged out 15 off two Stratford pitches, and also took advantage of 4 Stratford errors. Stratford’s 4 runs came by way of two wild pitches (scoring Senior J.J. Romatzick & Senior Ron Kerkes and two sacrifice flies by Senior Josh McDowell & Senior Brady Knorr (scoring Junior Jake Kszywanos & Senior Ron Kerkes). Stratford was led by J.J. Romatzick who went 2-4 with 1 run scored and 2 stolen bases and Ron Kerkes who went 1-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 walks.
