New Castle, PA — The Barons stayed strong for game two and ended the day with a sweep against the number one team in the league, Altoona Cumming Motors. Jake Vitale was lights out on the mound throwing 6 complete innings only giving up 3 runs, capturing 8 strike outs and acquiring the win. Brett Bobin came in the 7th inning and closed it out for the Barons with an excellent relief performance. At the plate Ethan Bintrim and Frank DeLuca combined for 4 RBI's also a double and a triple. Robert Herr and Connor Evans also tagged in an RBI each to help the Barons secure the sweep. The Barons next game is against the Youngstown Creekside Crocs at Flaherty Field, Wednesday, July 6th.
