New Castle, PA — The Barons showed up to Flaherty Field and brought the whole team for a great win in front of the home crowd. Ryan Perretti started on the mound for the Barons and gave 3 solid innings with 4 strikeouts. Benny Dottle followed by giving the Barons 2 full innings of scoreless relief and striking out one. Ethan Bintrim came in the 6th and 7th inning to help keep Creekside to zero runs and capturing two strikeouts himself. Matt Miller and Logan Ayres closed the game in the 8th and 9th to keep the shut out alive with excellent performances by both combing for 3 K's. At the plate, today the Barons showed their sticks. Nico Hall lead the way with three hits and a run, followed by Benny Dottle and Nick Jacobs having 2 RBI's each. Anthony Ryan, Shane Cato, and Brett Bobin also captured hits and an RBI each to help put the Barons on top and stay there. The Barons play the Butler Blue Sox in a twin bill at Flaherty Field, Friday, July 8th, first game starts at 4pm.
