New Wilmington, PA — The Barons and the Blue Sox battled game one of today's twin bill. The Blue Sox were up 3-1 after the 2nd inning but, the Barons did not quit, putting up 5 more runs throughout the rest of the contest to secure game one’s victory. The Barons were lead at the plate by Robert Herr who had 2 hits, an RBI and scored twice. Connor Evans and Caelen Bender also had hits in the game and combined for 3 runs. On the hill Ryan Gibbons pitched 6 complete innings only allowing 3 runs. Shane Cato came in the top of the 7th bases loaded, 2 outs, was able to get out of it with no blood and earn the save. Great team victory to open the series at Westminster College.
