The game was tied at two with Maize batting in the top of the seventh when Landon Helm tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs. Goddard Lions Varsity knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning, when Colton Watkins singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Aiden Doty was the winning pitcher for Maize.
