Bethlehem, PA — Easton defeated Freedom 9-3 on Monday thanks to seven runs in the fourth inning. Rover batters contributing to the big inning included AJ Thomas, George Thomas, Cole Transue, Justin Ramirez, Brandon De la Rosa, and Blake Heitzman, all driving in runs in the inning. In the first inning, Easton got their offense started. Ethan Reccek singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. AJ Thomas was the winning pitcher for Easton. The lefty went five and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out nine. Jacob Hirner threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Easton hit one home run on the day when Justin Ramirez had a 3 run homer in the fourth inning. Ethan Reccek led Easton with two hits in four at bats. The Rovers didn't commit a single error in the field. Easton will play Wilson High School on Saturday at 11am at Richard's Field. The game will honor the military.
