Easton, PA — Easton out-hit Liberty nine to six, but it wasn't enough in a 7-3 loss on Friday. The Rovers got things moving in the first inning, when Zabala threw a wild pitch allowing one run to cross the plate for Easton. Liberty pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Gyanch-Quirk's sac fly scored one run for Liberty, an error scored one run for Liberty, Gonzalez singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Liberty, and D’Amico singled scoring one run. Zabala was the winning pitcher for Liberty. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out five and walking one. O'Neill threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. AJ Thomas took the loss for Easton. Thomas allowed five hits and six runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one with only one run being earned. Easton racked up nine hits. Blake Heitzman, Stephen Ricicki, and Justin Ramirez all had multiple hits for the Red Rovers. Easton visits Pleasant Valley on Saturday morning at 11am in an EPC contest.
