Brodheadsville, PA — Easton took the lead late in the game in a 9-8 victory over Pleasant Valley on Saturday. An 8 run 6th inning gave the Rovers the lead. Despite falling down by four runs by the sixth inning, Pleasant Valley tried to fight back. Pleasant Valley managed three runs in their comeback attempt Pleasant Valley scored three runs in the fourth inning to give them a 5-1 lead. Easton made some defensive mistakes to help PV capitalize in the frame. Nolan Morgia was the winning pitcher for Easton. The righthander allowed two hits and three runs over two and a third innings, walking one. Cole Transue threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Transue recorded the last two outs to earn the save for the Rovers. Ryan Taynton started the game for Easton Area Red Rovers Varsity. The pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs over four innings, striking out two. Easton totaled ten hits. Simeon Reed, AJ Thomas, and Keegan all managed multiple hits for the Rovers.
