Easton, PA — Easton was victorious over Freedom today, 4-1. Freedom got things moving in the second inning scoring one run on an error. The Red Rovers pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Easton and Ethan Reccek singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, which was then followed by a Blake Heitzman triple on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. Stephen Ricicki was the winning pitcher for the Rovers. The righty surrendered one unearned run on four hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one. AJ Thomas threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Thomas recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Easton. Griffin Coyne took the loss for Freedom. The hurler allowed five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four and walking zero. Easton will play Nazareth on Thursday - May 5 at home on Senior Day at 4pm.
