Easton, PA — The Easton Red Rovers jumped out to an early lead over Governor Mifflin and took home a 7-2 victory on Saturday afternoon. Easton’s Jake Santoro scored on a walk by Rowan Galiotto, Cole Ordway scored on a walk by Chad Perry, Kurtis Crossman and Galiotto scored on a single by Michael Martino and Perry scoring on a past ball by in the first inning. After Governor Mifflin scored one run in the top of the third, The Rovers answered with one of their own. Easton’s answer was a Khamryn Singto single on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Jacob (Hack-attack) Hackman earned the win for the Easton Red Rovers. The hurler lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five. Chase Kinney threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. J Seifrit took the loss for Governor Mifflin. Seifrit lasted two and a third innings, allowing three hits and six runs. Galiotto led The Rovers with two hits in three at bats. Perry led Easton Area Freshman Rovers with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths “Again” with 13 stolen bases. Easton committed two errors in the field. Governor Mifflin didn't commit a single error in the field. J Brendstein had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
