Santa Ana, CA — EMILY ACOSTA got busy on the basepaths on Friday, knocking four hits in Southlands Christian Eagle's 23-1 victory over Century. ACOSTA doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the second, and doubled in the fourth. The Lady Eagles got things started in the first inning. The Eagles scored one run when LAUREN LOPEZ singled. Southlands notched ten runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from walks by GRACE CASTILLO, NATALY LUNA, BECKY ALONSO, and LAUREN LOPEZ, singles by ROCKY CORDOVA, ALYSSA PEREZ, and NICOLE MIRANDA. LUNA was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. The righty allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Jimena Esparza was in the pitcher's circle for Century. Esparza lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and 22 runs while striking out two. Southlands Christian tallied 11 hits on the day. ACOSTA and LOPEZ all managed multiple hits for Southlands.
