Burnsville, MN — Both teams were strong on the mound Thursday, but Burnsville defeated Lakeville North 3-2. Luke McHugh allowed just six hits to Lakeville North. Burnsville pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Mason White doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Luke Dam singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, and Noah Lindsey drew a walk, scoring one run. McHugh toed the rubber for the Blaze. The bulldog surrendered two runs on six hits over five innings, striking out four. Ben Woelfel, White, Dam, and Tim Trussell all had one hit to lead Burnsville.
