Burnt Hills, NY — The BHBL Spartans fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 4-1 loss to Ballston Spa on Thursday. Ballston Spa took the lead on a groundout in the second inning. Ballston Spa got things started in the second inning when Nagengast grounded out, scoring one run. O’Rourke got the win for Ballston Spa. The ace lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one. Hotaling threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Hunter Rauhauser took the loss for the Spartans. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out three and walking zero. Chad Lewandowski went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead the Spartans in hits. Pritchard led Ballston Spa with two hits in three at bats.
