Burnsville, MN — The Burnsville Sophomore Team fell 6-4 to Shakopee on Thursday despite out-hitting them six to three. The Blaze got things started in the first inning. An error scored one run. Shakopee pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth #7 doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs and Noah Lindsey induced #18 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Shakopee scored three runs in the sixth inning. Shakopee big bats were led by #17 and #14, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Luke McHugh took the loss for Burnsville. The bulldog surrendered three runs on one hit over three and a third innings, striking out six. Jack Skoglund, Ben Woelfel, Thomas Schaefers, Kenny Steffen, Lindsey, and McHugh all had one hit to lead Burnsville Junior Varsity Blaze.
