Easton, PA — Easton knocked in six runs in the fifth on its way to an 11-1 victory over Phillipsburg on Friday. The offensive onslaught by the Red Rovers was led by Cole Transue, Brendan Larkin, Justin Ramirez, Blake Heitzman, and Brandon De la Rosa, who each had RBIs in the inning. In the first inning, Easton got their offense started. Simeon Reed grounded out, scoring one run. AJ Thomas cruised to the win for Easton. The southpaw surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out six. Remian took the loss for Phillipsburg. Remian went four innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out six. Easton collected 12 hits on the day. Spencer Brooking and Cole Transue each racked up multiple hits for the Rovers. Brooking led Easton with three hits in three at bats. Easton was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Easton will play independent Hazleton in the regular season finale and then will prepare for the D11 playoff tournament which will begin May 25.
