Easton, PA — Easton watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 16-3 loss to Hazleton Area on Saturday. Hazleton Area scored on a double by Antolick, a single by Diaz, and a single by L. Russo in the first inning. The Rovers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hazleton Area, giving up 16 runs. Stephen Ricicki started the game for the Rovers. Ricicki lasted one and one-third innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out one and walking one. Ethan Reccek, Ryan Holmes, and Aidan Haffner, and Ryan Taynton each contributed in relief for Easton.
