Olympia, WA — It was a cold and rainy game in Olympia, WA Saturday night as the Baden Black Sox secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the third inning. Sneed, Bishop, Story, Eaton, Ward, and Tran each had RBI's in the frame. Baden captured the lead in the first inning when Higbee's wild pitch allowed ne run to score for the Sox. Baden took the lead for good with four runs in the second inning. In that inning Mo Abner doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Bishop doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Kelly drew a walk scoring one run. Story earned the victory on the hill. The southpaw surrendered five runs on two hits over two innings. Tran and Marx entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Higbee took the loss for Washington Select. Higbee went two innings allowing eight runs on four hits and striking out two. In total Baden tallied six hits. The game ended after three innings due to the two hour time limit.
