Rockford, MI — MP Drillers 14u put up eight runs in the third on its way to an 11-3 victory over Havoc 14U on Sunday. MP Drillers 14u's big inning was driven by singles by Brady Edwards, Blake Walcutt, Bodie Hadder, and Xavier Creguer and a walk by Parker Smith. Havoc 14U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Aaron Parker singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. MP Drillers 14u knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Hadder singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. MP Drillers 14u pulled away for good with eight runs in the third inning. In the third Edwards singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Walcutt singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Hadder singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Smith drew a walk, scoring one run, and Creguer singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Brady Davis was on the mound for MP Drillers 14u. The lefthander went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out five and walking one. Ronin Bravata was on the pitcher's mound for Havoc 14U. The righty allowed ten hits and nine runs over three innings, striking out one. Brady Hansen threw one inning out of the bullpen. MP Drillers 14u tallied 12 hits on the day. Creguer, Walcutt, Hadder, and Edwards all managed multiple hits for MP Drillers 14u. Walcutt and Creguer each collected three hits to lead MP Drillers 14u. MP Drillers 14u tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Riley Olson led the way with two.
