Redmond, WA — Baden Black Sox 14U defeated Kitsap Rebels 14U Red 6-3 on Monday in their second meeting during the Art Wright Memorial Day tournament, in Baden's first game in the bracket play for the tournament. Baden got things started in the first inning when Keane hit a triple on a line drive to the gap in left field. Bishop followed up with a sacrifice ground ball to score Keane. The Black Sox big inning was in the sixth where they scored three runs. The offensive onslaught came from by Ward and an error on a ball put in play by Tran. Bishop took the win for Baden in a fantastic outing. The righthander went a complete game allowing eight hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six. Stringfield took the loss for Kitsap. The righthander allowed six hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three. Baden collected six hits in total. Keane and Story each collected two hits to lead Baden in hits.
