San Juan Capistrano, CA — Fountain Valley has 30+ girls on their Frosh Soph team, similar to us and they have a strong program from the top down, as evidenced by today’s match. While we didn’t win any doubles sets, the girls played hard and had fun. Each doubles player got to play 2 sets, which doesn’t usually happen when we go to away matches. Emma Doss, Evelyn Natzke and Chloe Gallaher played the toughest today at line 2. Kudos to our 3 singles MVP players who played the longest, each winning 1 of 3 sets played for our only 3 wins for the afternoon. Aurora Moore, Viana Poggi and Gia Banks-Meeker. Aurora came very close to winning 2 sets, playing that tough little left hander through a long tie-breaker in round 2. Next up: Monday, Oct. 3rd - home vs Canyon, 2:30pm.
