Mission Viejo, CA — The Diablos came ready to play in this home opener. The offense striked early with 50 yard touchdown pass from Kadin Semonza to Arizona commit Jackson Holman. Servite striked back with a 65 yard touchdown reception. Then it was all Mission after that. The Diablos put up 21 unanswered points with Semonza’s 44 yard touchdown pass to Eddie Schultz, Joe Mendez 13 yard run, and Holman’s second touchdown reception of the night, with a score of 28-9 going into the half. Two more rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, this time from Quarterback and Ball State commit Kadin Semonza and Sophomore running back Hinesward, put this game out of reach with the score 42-9. A pair of late rushing touchdowns from Servite closed out the game with a final score of 42-23. Next week, Mission takes on ranked Long Beach Poly at home.
