Clinton Township, MI — The Big Reds played their best half of basketball yet this year in the first half against the now MAC Red Champion Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils. The Big Reds were inspired by strong defense, timely cuts and taking care of the ball. They led the Blue Devils 29-21 at the break. In the game at GPS, the Big Reds were down by 38 at after 3 quarters. The beginning of the 3rd quarter the Big Reds had some untimely mistakes and GPS capitalized grabbing a lead about half way through the quarter. The Big Reds cut it to 5 with about 5 minutes to go in the game and then back to back threes ultimately did the Big Reds in. The Big Reds continue to grow as a team and are playing much better basketball over the course of the last two weeks. They travel to Roseville on Friday to take on the Panthers in the second to last MAC Red game of the season.
